ANTIGUA – Antiguans and Barbudans to choose new Gov’t on March 21

Residents of Antigua and Barbuda will vote in a general election on Wednesday, March 21.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced the election date Saturday night at the campaign launch for his Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP).

Browne has called the elections, which were not continutonally due until June 2019, more than a year early.

The main opposition United Progressive Party and the Democratic National Alliance are the two other major political parties which will be contesting the election.

  1. Like them or like them not, the ABLP is the only option. Many are wary of passing back the baton of power to a bunch of proven incompetent self designated intelligent, elitist, entitled descendants of our history’s Uncle Toms. The DNA, hopefully, will continue to improve and this they can and will do once they clean up their slate (dump the pseudo rasta for example) they could become a decent opposition. Here’s to March 21st!
