BREAKING: Lowenfiled served with court documents to halt declaration of Guyana election results

Guyana’s Chief Elections Officer Keith Lowenfiled has been served with court documents to halt the declaration of the 2020 National elections recount.

Lowenfield had until 1 p.m. today  to submit his report to GECOM’s Chairman Claudette Singh.

But GECOM’s Public Relations Officer Yolanda Warde says Singh has not received the report.

The case seeking to stop Lowenfield from submitting the report was filed in the name of Eslyn David by Attorney-at-Law, Mayo Robertson.

The Court of Appeal is being asked stop the Guyana Elections Commission from declaring results of the March 2 general and regional elections because GECOM has “failed to determine a final credible count and or the credibility of the result.”
