Puerto Rico governor bans conversion therapies

Puerto Rico’s governor has signed an executive order that bans conversion therapies to change the sexual orientation or gender identity of a minor.

Ricardo Rossello said Wednesday that the therapies cause unnecessary harm and suffering. He also urged counsellors and psychologists across the U.S. territory to prohibit service for such therapies.

More than a dozen U.S. states have approved similar bans, and the American Psychological Association opposes therapy seeking to change sexual orientation.

  1. It is pathetic to have adults wilingfully and deliberately for their own selfish personal style want to so called convert an innocent child from their born female or male sex identity to another. For example a boy to girl, girl to boy. This is disgusting, an abuse of this child who is unable to make such a decision and you people please stay away from converting boys (who is not a currency) to whatever and girls (who are not a currency of value) to whomever. This is an intrusion and abuse that should be punished and stopped. You weird adults out there go take care of lives and do what you want with it and live people`s children alone. What you chose to do in privacy of your house is your business, go ahead but do not take it to the confines of young growing up children that does not belong to you. Go have your children,. Nature has bless you with the necessary sexual tools that is to function naturally with the opposite sex, that is to bare children of your own. I agree with the Governor 100% to stop this brutal therapies taking place. Let the child grow up at their pace and stop the indoctrination of innocent children. You are abusing them. Governor bans conversion therapy. Good luck on your lives., let the children grow up, you are now a grown up, stop this abuse and pain you are inflecting on people.
