Rihanna makes debut on Forbes’ Billionaires List

Barbadian National Heroine and international superstar, Robyn Rihanna Fenty has made her debut on the Forbes Billionaire List.

The 34-year-old has been valued by Forbes at US $1.7 billion, and ranks at #1,729 on the list, surpassing stars like Jay-Z (#2,076 with US $1.4 billion) and Tyler Perry (#2,578 with US $1 billion).

Although she first entered the spotlight with her music career, Forbes.com says it was her cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty (co-owned with luxury brand LVMH) that earned her a spot on the list. She owns 50% of the makeup line, and also 30% of the Savage X Fenty lingerie line.

The mother-to-be officially reached billionaire status last August, but missed out on making the Forbes 2021 list.

Forbes says the world now has 2,668 billionaires, with a collective net worth of $12.7 trillion.

Tech mogul Elon Musk tops the list with an estimated net worth of $219 billion, with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in 2nd with $171 billion.
