ST VINCENT – Antigua linked to passport fraud probe

Authorities in St Vincent and the Grenadines say an investigation is underway into a possible fraud case involving Antigua and Barbuda passports.

A high-ranking official of the Royal St Vincent and Grenadines Police Force has confirmed the probe.

Two people are being questioned but no one has been charged.

Social media reports allege that a senior public official from Antigua is implicated in the scam.

According to reports, the probe has been underway following the seizure of documents from a man at the airport on Friday.

No further details have been provided.

The acting commissioner of police in Antigua, Atlee Rodney, says he is aware of the reports but did not comment further.
