ST VINCENT – Earthquake felt in several islands

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 rattled several countries in the Eastern Caribbean on Monday.

The Trinidad-based Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of the St Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI) said the earthquake occurred at 8:08 a.m. (local time).

The SRC said that the quake was located at Latitude: 13.23N, Longitude: 61.30W and at a depth of 107 kilometres (km).

It listed nearby cities as 11 km north west of Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, 95 km south west of Castries, St. Lucia and 140 km north east of the Grenadian capital, St. George’s.
