ST. VINCENT-TECHNOLOGY-Opposition Party Launches Mobile Web App

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, Oct. 03, 2014, CNS – The opposition New Democratic Party (NDP) has developed and launched a ground-breaking, mobile web app ahead of upcoming general elections in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

In a statement the NDP said the app is targeted at smartphone and tablet users and is designed to provide focused and targeted information which will help users to get registered to vote; to engage with the party’s candidates and to better understand the party’s platform and issues relevant to the upcoming general elections.

The app features a clean, modern and user-friendly design, full Facebook and Twitter integration and smartphone wallpapers and ringtones for download.

The app, the first of its kind to be launched in the sub-region, was conceptualised and developed by a small team of locally-based Vincentian tech talent, assembled by the party’s PRO Senator Vynnette Frederick.

The app is considered by the NDP to be a vital aspect of their new media outreach, an innovation in the current election campaign cycle.
