Surinamese Woman Nabbed With Cocaine Chocolate

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, Nov 12 2015 – A Surinamese woman is currently in police custody assisting them with their investigations, after she was nabbed at the V.C. Bird International Airport on Thursday with more than three Kilos of Cocaine.

Mireille Letitia Hasselbaink, 36, was intercepted by Customs Officers, attempting to smuggle 3.1 Kilos of Cocaine into the country. The drug was concealed among several boxes of chocolate.

The woman was arrested and taken into custody. She arrived in Antigua Thursday morning aboard the Caribbean Airlines Flight 458 from Suriname. The drugs carry an estimated street value of EC$ 111,653.
