Third Strike: Antigua turns away Aida Perla cruise ship

The Aida Perla cruise vessel will not be allowed to berth in Antigua as scheduled on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment in a press release this evening said  the Maritime Health Declaration provided by the vessel was insufficient to make a proper assessment of the health situation on the vessel.

As a result, the ministry said additional crucial information was requested but that information was never provided in a timely manner.

The Aida Perla was denied entry in St. Lucia and Dominica due to health concerns of reported upper respiratory infections on board.
