Toddler Killed By Vehicle Driven By Policeman

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, May 16 2016 – Guyana police say they are investigating the death of a 10-year-old boy who was hit by a vehicle allegedly driven by a drunken police officer.

The statement said that the accident occurred on Sunday night when Devon Sealey was riding a bicycle along the Sisters Public Road, West Bank Demerara. He was hit by the vehicle that was driven by the unidentified police constable, who was later found to be over the limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol.

After the motor vehicle struck down Sealey, it collided with a parked vehicle. Sealey was pronounced dead at the West Demerara Regional Hospital.

The driver has also been admitted to hospital.
