TRINIDAD – ODPM deputy CEO resigns after flood of criticism

Less than four days after saying he saw no reason to step down from his job, Col Dave Williams officially tendered his resignation as deputy chief executive officer of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) with immediate effect yesterday.

Williams’s resignation was delivered to Minister of National Security Edmund Dillon around midday. It was accepted, the Express reported.

Williams cleared his desk immediately and left his ODPM office at Tacarigua. Later yesterday, the Ministry of National Security sent out a brief statement confirming the resignation.
