Two Jamaicans Arrested With Ganja In Antigua

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, May 11 2016 – Two Jamaican men have been arrested here after they were found 88lbs of compressed marijuana with an estimated wholesale value of Three Hundred and Fifty Two Thousand Dollars ($352,000.00 ECD).

Andre Robinson, 35, and Prince Caballero, 34, where held during a joint operation conducted by the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) and the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda.

Both men were expected to make a court appearance to answer to several drug charges.

The ONDCP said officers were on duty on Saturday when they observed suspicious activities taking place. One person managed to get out of the area but was apprehended not far from the area of operation.

This success came on the heels of another recent successful counter narcotics operation conducted by the ONDCP when on 1st May 2016, on Buckley’s road, Zavique Williams, a Vincentian male, 24 years of age, was also arrested and charged for a small quantity of cannabis.
