GEORGETOWN, Guyana, Aug 13 2015 – The police are hunting for two men who escaped from the New Amsterdam prison late Wednesday.
The police report that shortly after 9:30 pm local time, the escapees, identified as Ravindra Samaroo and Leslie Prince, broke out of their cell when they tied bed sheets and swung down the wall undetected.
Both men were remanded earlier this year on robbery charges.
