United Nations Resident Coordinator pays courtesy call on St. Kitts-Nevis Foreign Minister

Dr Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received yesterday, Didier Trebucq, United Nations Coordinator for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean and his team which consists of Uzumma Erume, Economic and Senior Development Coordination Officer and Cosbert Woods, United Nations Country Coordination Officer – Saint Kitts and Nevis.

This meeting served to update Minister on the activities of the United Nations in Saint Kitts and Nevis and sought input from the Minister on the anticipated path forward for the Sustainable Island State Agenda.

Trebucq commended Saint Kitts and Nevis on the completion and presentation of its First Voluntary National Review in 2023 and the work already in progress to achieve Agenda 2030 – the Sustainable Development Goals.

Dr. Douglas expressed his gratitude for the multifaceted support of the United Nations in assisting the Federation on its journey to become a Sustainable Island State.
