American Snorkeler Missing At Sea In Cayman Islands

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman, March 07 2015 – The Marine Unit  has called for volunteers to assist in the search and rescue operations now underway in East End for a snorkeler who was reported missing on Thursday morning, March 5.

The police reported that at about 11:21 am, the 47-year-old man from Massachusetts was last seen in the ocean by his wife off Reef Resort in East End.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police, the Joint Marine Unit and the Department of Environment have all joined to find the missing tourist.

The man was wearing white beach shorts, but no shirt, clear goggles and black and blue fins.
