PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, Sept. 20, 2014, CNS – Authorities in Haiti are dealing with their second jailbreak on less than two months.
Five inmates escaped Saturday from a prison in the northern city of Cap-Haitien. Two of the escapees were later recaptured, one of them shot by prison guards.
Among the inmates still at large is a man sentenced to life for murder and another sentenced to life for kidnapping.
On Aug. 10, 329 inmates broke out of a Haitian prison in Croix-des-Bouquets.
