“I never did commit such a crime,” was the plea yesterday of a St Michael man, charged with serious indecency.
George Lamar McLawerence of 7th Avenue, Skeete’s Road, The Ivy, allegedly committed the act against a 19-year-old man on September 28, 2008.
The trial, presided by Madam Justice Jacqueline Cornelius, began last week and heard testimony from a number of witnesses, including the alleged victim and his mother.
McLawerence is representing himself while Senior Crown Counsel Krystal Delaney and Crown Counsel Neville Watson are the prosecutors.
Cornelius will issue her summation today after which the jury will issue its verdict. (Barbados TODAY)
