Caribbean Performing Arts Federation (C-PAF) Launches in Antigua

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, Sep 27 2015 – The Caribbean Performing Arts Federation (C-PAF) Inc., which has been registered and incorporated in Dominica since 2012, has officially launched its Antigua and Barbuda Task Force.

C-PAF is a private sector not for profit organisation that embraces all aspects of the Performing Arts and its support systems.

Antigua is the 7th Organisation of East Caribbean States (OECS) country to establish a Task Force.

C-PAF’s Head Office is located in Dominica and it has representation throughout the OECS.

Minister of Trade, Industry, Commerce, Sports, Culture & National Festival and Culture Paul “Chet” Greene said the launch of the local Task Force is timely as culture in Antigua and Barbuda is in the midst of a “cultural renaissance”

He said the government of Antigua and Barbuda is fully supportive of the work to be done by these agencies. He urged all concerned to stay focused and added that the sector can only improve with good leadership.

C-PAF is a member driven organisation which seeks to develop the Performing Arts. Its mission is to foster and promote the performing arts primarily in the OECS sub-region and eventually on a global scale.

The Antigua and Barbuda Task Force consists of volunteers Marcella Andre-Georges, Country Director; Mickel Brann, Deputy Country Director; Gavin Christopher; Tavia Hunte; Brenda Lee Browne, Public Relations Officer; Ingram Gordon; Vaughan Skerritt and Calvin Southwell.
