ROSEAU, Dominica, Apr 12 2016 – An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 rattled Dominica on Tuesday, but there were no reports of injuries or damages.
The Trinidad-based Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of the University of the West Indies (UWI) said that the quake occurred at 8:36 am (local time) at a depth of five kilometres.
It said that the earthquake was located 50 km north of the capital and 58 km, south, south east of Point-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe and 131 km north, northwest of Fort-de-France in Martinique.
In recent months, the Caribbean has recorded several tremors. Last week, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 rocked sections of Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada.
