ST. VINCENT-ENVIRONMENT- SVG Out-plants Rest Of The Caribbean To Win ENO 2014 Treelympics

KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent, Nov. 06, 2014, CNS – St. Vincent & the Grenadines has won a medal in The Olympic Games in Tree-planting and will attend the award ceremony in Finland in November.

The Treelympics is organised by Environment Online (ENO), a global virtual school and network for sustainable development.

More than 10,000 schools from 157 countries have participated since the launch in 2000. Schools have planted 17 million trees with the target being 100 million by 2017.

The results for 2014 are now in and St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Turkey have the most active participants in the world.

The ENO Treelympics Seminar and Award Ceremony will take place in Joensuu, Finland on November 20.

A representative from Richmond Vale Academy (RVA) will go to Finland to receive the medal.
