This St Kitts resident is still pleading to get her roof fixed

After nearly a year of demonstrating outside the Office of Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris, writing him an open letter, speaking with her PAM/Team Unity candidate Ambassador Jonel Powell and many posts on her FaceBook account, Central Basseterre resident Cherilyn Adolphine, is still begging the Team Unity Government she help voted into office to do “for me what they have done speedily for hundreds of others…fix me roof.”
“Just before Christmas, some material was delivered to my yard with the promise the rest will follow. I waited for two weeks then called a Mr. Chris, whom I do not know, (but) who assured me he would send the rest of the material the next day,” Adolphine posted on Facebook.
Adolphine related that Mr. Chris has not called me with any explanation why the rest of the material have not being delivered as promised.
“I do not know this gentleman, but I expect some sort of respect and decency and an explanation from him,” said Adolphine, who disclosed that her brother has had two strokes, is hospitalised and paralysed on the right side.
“I have called Jonel Powell (Chairman of PAM and the candidate she voted for last February 16, 2015), who has proven ineffective in getting anything done for anyone in Central (Basseterre) and asked him if he could approach Mr. Chris to find out if the work can go on as my brother is in the hospital. I am waiting for a reply,” she wrote.
Adolphine disclosed that she cannot bring her brother back home to a leaky bedroom.
Explaining why she would not go Mr. Chris’ office, Ms. Adolphine accused him of being “too big that not even a minister’s directive that ended in ASAP or a request from a candidate of a ruling government could move him.”
